Adaptive production patent - an explainer
09 Dec 2025, by All3
One of the biggest challenges in prefabrication is how small deviations accumulate during production. Over time, these errors compound - leading to major rework on site and making integration of embedded systems almost impossible.
The obvious solution would be to simply increase production precision. But this is constrained by the quality and consistency of the original materials, and the limits of current manufacturing technology. Reaching the level of accuracy required would take years of research and hundreds of millions in investment - more mirage than solution.
At All3, we’ve taken a different approach. Our method - which we call adaptive production, and is now protected by a granted patent - avoids the accumulation of deviations altogether.
Each component is scanned after fabrication, the data is used to update the digital model in real time, and subsequent parts are automatically recalculated and adjusted before production.
This feedback loop allows the system to continuously correct itself - ensuring that imperfections never pile up.
If the first part comes out 2mm too long, the next is adjusted by 2mm. This means the final inaccuracy is always just that of the last element - even in a chain of 1,000 elements.
That advanced level of precision is what makes All3’s robotic assembly possible. Without adaptive production, complex prefabricated structures could not be built this way.
